Morbegno Museum
A museum which allows visitors to learn about the geography and history of the formation of the Alps and which exhibits minerals, fossils, rocks and animals from the province of Sondrio. Displays include reconstructions of the principal natural environments of the area: the valley floor, the forest and the high mountains.
A unique fossil find is also preserved and on show here: Cassinisia Orobica, an ancient plant that lived about 280 million years ago.
The museum also tells the story of the last bear in Valtellina, exhibits a beautiful specimen of a wolf and offers many services to the community with particular attention to education.
