The Fort of Oga
This is the best-preserved example in Europe of a stable fortification from the First World War, located in the Paluaccio di Oga Nature Reserve. It is very suggestive to walk through the spaces where the soldiers lived - through tunnels, secret passages, the kitchen and dormitories - and climb into the armoured domes. Some rooms are set up with period images and memorabilia.
The current generator that guaranteed energy autonomy to the Fort is particularly fascinating: it is the largest of its time, viewable in a museum context. From the large panoramic terrace of the Fort, the surrounding valleys are all on display.
