Monitoring
Monitoring and evaluating museum activities and services is a demanding but very important task for improving the planning of initiatives. This activity makes it possible to analyse and measure the results achieved and consequently define subsequent activities, improve services and increase the quality of proposals.
The SMV has introduced monitoring and evaluation tools that count the numbers (of visitors, of the classes involved in educational workshops, of the participants in events and initiatives), but above all the satisfaction and quality perceived by the public. In fact, involvement and participation are a guarantee of the museum's vitality and the effectiveness of its action to enhance the cultural heritage it holds.
Visitor data is published in the site's "Statistics" page. The initiatives proposed by museums are also monitored, as well as museum teaching: in addition to numerical data, satisfaction levels and observations by teachers are recorded, which are useful for improving the service. Short questionnaires are also given to educational workers and, on a sample basis, to children and young people.
The information, analysed annually, allows you to better plan the activities for the following year.
